Having worked with Billy and the team at Superior Athletics over the last 4 years I can speak to the quality of their program. The guys there have always had me ready for the season even when coming off of injuries.

This off-season, I have gotten healthier and stronger than at any other time in my professional career; and it wasn’t only the strength training that helped me. Whether it was working on a nutrition plan to give me more energy, designing conditioning sessions, working on my mobility or anything else I needed, I was given a plan to take my performance to another level.

Billy is the quintessential smart coach. Through the first few months of training with Billy, I noticed that he was not the traditional “strength coach”: no loud commands, aggression, or workouts that made me puke, but workouts that made me BETTER. Through his training, I have gained incredible strength, squatting north of 500 lbs. and deadlifting almost 600 lbs. at a bodyweight of 181 lbs in competition. Most importantly, he has prioritized my safety. He places so much emphasis on recovery. He knows exactly when to turn up the intensity and when to dial it down. “Training hard doesn’t always mean training smart.” I have built such a strong relationship with Billy and could not ask for a better coach. Not only have I gained 25 pounds, but I have also become much more athletic, and I have seen large improvements on the mound.Each athlete is different, but due to Billy’s exceptional knowledge in his field, he is able to personalize programs for athletes at all levels to succeed. Making the change from working out on my own to going to Billy Rom has been the best decision I have made since starting D1 baseball. Billy makes a point to increase his knowledge everyday and is on top of all new studies in his field. His speed training sessions have increased all the power aspects you can measure and have made me notches above my peers in athleticism. His personality is really what separates Billy.
